Computer Use Policy
The computer workstations in the
reference area are for the use of Roanoke College students, faculty,
and staff. The general public
may use these workstations for research purposes only. (Use of word
processing, email, spreadsheet, or other software is not allowed.)
The general public will be asked to limit their time to 15 minutes if
someone from the college community is waiting to use the workstation.
Some fee-based databases may be restricted to use by Roanoke College
students, faculty, and staff only.
Anyone using one of the workstations to
access federal government information will not be given a time limit
but will be asked to be considerate of others waiting. Because
Fintel Library is a selective depository for federal documents,
everyone, including the general public, has a right to access that
information.
All use of the workstations must be
in compliance with the Appropriate Use of Computer Facilities policy
at Roanoke College.
Thank you for your cooperation.
