Interlibrary
Loan
Interlibrary Loan
is a service which provides you with materials from other libraries
throughout Virginia and the United States. Both books and periodical
articles may be borrowed if these items are not part of the Fintel
Library collection. Interlibrary Loan usually takes 5-10 working
days for delivery of items.
Requestors must
provide an accurate and complete citation for each request. The
lending institutions will not do research to fill a request; they
will simply respond "Unfilled" and the material will not
be supplied.
Requestors will
be notified by campus mail or email when books arrive. Photocopies
will be sent to faculty/staff offices; books are picked up at the
Interlibrary Loan Office. The Interlibrary Loan Office is open from
8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Please contact Jeffrey
Martin or
Rebecca Heller to make other arrangements for material pickup.
Items must be
returned by the due date, so not to jeopardize our borrowing
privileges with the lending institution. Items may be renewed if the
lending institution allows renewals and has not recalled the items.
Renewals must be requested at least 4 days before the due date.
