The Bachelor of Science degree program in Chemistry is approved by the American Chemical Society (ACS).

All chemistry majors are strongly encouraged to do research, either during the academic year or during the summer. Stipends may be available to support summer research. CHEM 250, 350, 370, 420, and 460 are offered on an alternate year schedule. Students should work with their academic advisors in scheduling these courses as well as their physics.
