Theatre Scholarships

Interested in theatre? We're interested in supporting you through a theatre scholarship!

For students entering Roanoke College in Fall 2024, we're able to offer awards of up to $2,500 for those interested in theatre.

For the scholarship application, we require the following:

• Resume — a one-page resume listing the plays upon which you have worked and in what capacity.
• Statement — a short statement (250 words) that addresses your motives for making theatre and your goals pertaining to theatre at Roanoke College.
• Personal Interview — conducted with one of the theatre faculty. If you are unable to attend in person, a Skype interview will be required.
• Portfolio/Headshots/Production Photos — 4 to 6 images of headshots of yourself, production photos or images of your best work that demonstrates your range of technical skills. 4"x6" jpeg format, approximately 300d pi in size. Please indicate play title, place of performance and date of creation for each piece.

If awarded, these scholarships may be renewed every year, pending review by the theatre arts faculty.
