Hall of Fame
A.W. "Rock" Norman '13
Inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame 1972.
- Since 1920, he has been active in the promotion of athletics in the state of South Carolina
- In 1968, he was selected to the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame and cited as the person most responsible for the growth and success of the athletic programs at Furman University, the University of South Carolina, The Citadel, and Clemson University
- In mid-thirties, he was a member of the National Basketball Rules Committee
- At Roanoke College, he excelled in football, baseball and selected to the All-State basketball team
- Captain of the 1913 basketball team
