Carey L. Brewbaker '37
Inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame 1972.
- At Roanoke, he won varsity letters in both football and baseball
- Member of the Monogram Club
- Excelled at tackle and captained the 1936 squad
- One of the best outfielders in Roanoke College baseball history
- After college, he coached at Durham High winning three state championships in football
- He coached and played with the Pasco Navy Flyers
- Has been an assistant coach for the San Diego Bluejackets and for University of Notre Dame
- In 1954, he became assistant coach at NC State and won the highest praise for his work as line coach and recruiter
