Hall of Fame

Charles L. Patrone '36

Inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame 1971.

  • A four-year member of the Monogram Club
  • Played varsity ball during his career at Roanoke College and set records on the football field as a back
  • Played the 1934 season with a broken ankle bone
  • In 1935, he was named captain of the squad and voted to the All-Conference and All-State teams
  • Outstanding third baseman during his career, playing four years of varsity baseball
  • In 1933 and 1934, he was a member of the college boxing team
