Hall of Fame

Inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame 1972.

• Directed the women’s varsity and intramural athletic programs at Roanoke College since 1946
• For 25 years, she coached field hockey teams - on several occasions to state and national recognition
• Her 1961 team was undefeated
• The 1971 team held record of 12-1-1
• Many of her players have made sectional teams and several have received trials on national teams
• Coached the women’s swim team
• Organized and coached the men’s swim team and directed them to Little Eight championships in 1958, ’59, ’66, ’67
