Hall of Fame

James B. Bonham '17

Inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame 1971.

  • Bonham distinguished himself on the gridiron as a center, a guard, a tackle and a fullback
  • Captain of the 1915 football championship team
  • Played every minute of 46 consecutive football games
  • Received letters in basketball and baseball and added outstanding records in track and tennis to his accomplishments
  • The Washington Post named him to the All-South Atlantic first-team in 1915 as a fullback
