John H. Wagner '39
Inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame 1971.
- A guard on the basketball teams of 1937-39, he was one of the sharpshooters of the "Five Smart Boys"
- Won All-State honors in 1939
- Honorable mention NIAA, and National Invitational Tournament team in 1938
- An outstanding second basemen on the Roanoke varsity for three years
- Member of the Monogram Club
- President of the Student Athletic Council in 1939
