James L. Doran '48
Inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame 1971.
- Member of Monogram Club.
- Co-captain of State Championship basketball team of 1948 and member of All-State Team.
- In track and field, excelled in dashes, shot put, discus, high jump, broad jump and javelin---setting records in many of these events.
- One of the best players in Roanoke’s basketball history.
- Was instrumental in re-establishing track and field at Roanoke College.
