Robert J. Stahlsmith '47
Inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame 1972.
- Member of the Monogram Club
- Starred in three varsity sports
- Played on Roanoke’s last varsity football team
- For four years, he played guard on the basketball team
- Elected team captain 1946 and ’47, when he was recognized on the All-State team
- For three years, he played shortstop on the baseball team and is rated as one of the best and most dedicated athletes
