Maroons' Three-Match Winning Streak Ends
RC Falls to DII Glenville State
SALEM, VA--The Roanoke College volleyball team fell to Division II Glenville State College on Saturday, 3-0. Game scores were 15-12, 15-13, 15-12, all in favor of the Pioneers. The Maroons, who defeated Hollins University on Friday night, fall to 5-3 on the season. The loss ends a three-match winning streak for the Maroons. Molly Zigler (Timberville, VA/Broadway) again led the way on the offensive attack for the Maroons, posting nine kills on the day. Melissa Slusher (Altavista, VA/Altavista) had eight kills and also tallied five digs. Holly Holland’s (Roanoke, VA/William Byrd) 14 assists were an RC team-high.
RC returns to action on Tuesday as it travels to Ferrum College for a 7:00 pm contest against the Panthers. Roanoke has already beaten FC once this season, 3-1, on September 6th.
