Maroons Take 67-62 Road Win at BC

Roanoke Hands Bridgewater First Home Loss, RC Now 15-6, 12-5

BRIDGEWATER, VA--The Roanoke College women's basketball team outscored the Bridgewater college Eagles, 39-31, in the second half to come away with a 67-62 road win on Wednesday. The Maroons are now 15-6, 12-5 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, while Bridgewater falls to 15-5, 12-4.

Roanoke held Bridgewater, which lost its first home game of the season, to just 29.6 percent from the floor in the second half to secure the win. The Maroons trailed 31-28 going into halftime. Roanoke also turned the ball over just 10 times on the night, while forcing 21 BC give-aways.

Crystal Barrett (Roanoke, VA/Northside) scored 13 points to lead all Roanoke scorers, while Suzanne Webb (Narrows, VA/Narrows) added nine. The Maroons also got 10 points from sophomore Jill Quesenberry (Willis, VA/Floyd County).

Roanoke hosts Washington & Lee University on Saturday at 5:00 pm in the C. Homer Bast Center in Salem.
