Fisher Lecture and
Lab Dedication

James McGrath and Dr. Charles H. Fisher

23, 2002: Organic Chemistry Laboratory Renovation
dedicated and named! The Chemistry Department is
pleased to announce the naming of the remodeled organic chemistry laboratory
as the Dr. Charles H. Fisher Laboratory of Organic Chemistry. The lab
has an all new design, including three
full walls of fume hoods, one hood for every two students. The
laboratory was named in honor of Dr. Charles H. Fisher. Click

This
naming was announced in conjunction with the 2002 Charles H. Fisher
Lecture. The speaker was Dr. James McGrath, who gave a
fascinating lecture on "Polymer Electrolyte Membrane (PEM)
Nanocomposites for Fuel Cells." The photos shown here were taken at the special
dedication preceding the public lecture, and at the lecture.
