SUPPORTING STUDENT SUCCESS NETWORK

We all want our students to succeed. Sometimes they need a little extra attention and help.

If you are aware of students experiencing difficulty of one kind or another, please help them get the help they need by contacting the experts who can help them with their particular difficulty. You can do one of three things:

  • Bring the student’s situation to the attention of your supervisor, who will make the proper referral.
  • Make a general referral about the student to Bill Tenbrunsel, Leah Russell, Hope Parks or Bob Hines.
  • Make a specific referral about the student to one of the experts listed under Specific Referrals.

It would be helpful to identify the kind of difficulty: missing class, personal problems, academic problems, depression, alcohol, problems at home, girlfriend/boyfriend issues, etc. Often, the faculty advisor should also be informed of the student’s difficulty.

These are our students. You can make a difference. If you know something, don’t sit on the information—pass it on! Don’t let our students fall through the cracks!
