The Foreign Language Department offers majors
in French and Spanish, minors in French, Spanish
and German, as well as opportunities to study Russian, Japanese and Italian.
The department strongly encourages all foreign language majors and minors
to include study abroad in their Roanoke College curriculum.

May Term courses abroad
are offered on a rotating basis for Spanish, German
and French. Numerous other study abroad options are available as
well; for information on all options, visit the Office
of International Studies, and consult with a faculty member in the
Foreign
Language Department.
