1. To become familiar with key SACS' documents such as the 1998 Criteria for Accreditation, the Handbook for Institutional Self-Study, and the Resource Manual for Institutional Effectiveness, and the Roanoke College Self-Study Plan, and to review the Strategic Study Reports that have been submitted recently by other institutions

2. To become familiar with the ongoing work of the Intensive Learning Task Force and the Personal Development and Enhanced Advising Task Force

3. To work with the Task Forces in developing an effective assessment mechanism of the programs

4. To help identify and work with outside consultants on the Intensive Learning Program and on the Personal Development and Enhanced Advising Program

5. To be willing to meet with the College's SACS liaison officer and the SACS Visiting Team to discuss the Intensive Learning Program, the Personal Development and Enhanced Advising Program, and the work of the Task Forces
