1. SGA has chosen a student member for the Council, name to be announced.
2. Next meeting will be Wednesday, November 1 at 3:45pm.
3. Reviewed and discussed the following handouts: Your First College Year survey (UCLA), Questions for Review of Academic Assessment Plans and Annual Assessment Programs, Roanoke College Statement of Purpose (including Curriculum and Institutional Goals),and a draft of the Council's schedule of reviews of Academic and Adminsitrative Departments. Decided to use the NISSE survey again this year, rather than adopting the UCLA survey. It was also decided that Ed and Greg would develop a revised review schedule for the Council.
4. Review materials will be in blue notebooks on top of the first shelf.
5. We reviewed and discussed the Psychology Department's assessment plan its 1999-2000 Assessment Results. Greg will email the Council members a draft of our comments. Any additional comments or any revisions or suggestions should be emailed back to Greg by the end of the week.
