The second meeting of the College's Assessment Council began at 12:30 p.m.
Greg continued the orientation for Assessment Council members new to assessment. He described the evolution of assessment leadership on campus; discussed the work that he, Larsen, and Whitson had done as the assessment triumvirate; and reviewed the work on assessment plans currently being done for academic majors and academic programs. This was followed by general discussion of the responsibilities of the committee.
The committee decided that its first task of spring semester would be to review, discuss, and possibly strengthen the Principles of Assessment that have been drafted and are on the college institutional effectiveness web site.
Everyone will get spring schedules to Greg who will (hopefully) determine a meeting time convenient for all.
