Minutes of the Meeting of
November 9, 1999
Present: Richardson, Crawford, Ruiz, Lee, Gilster, Alessa, Gonzalez, Chaudry, Simmons, Hardwig

1. We discussed and made modifications to the Intensive Learning Assessment Plan, working on both the Statement of Purpose section and the Outcomes Objectives for Students section. Revisions will be processed and sent out to group members in time for next week's meeting, when we will look briefly at the Assessment Mechanisms section as well as the Outcomes Objectives for the College paragraph. We will try to have a draft proposal to present to the SACS Strategic Self-Study committee by the end of the semester.
2. We discussed the recommendations that we will need to make to CC and ASC about independent studies, internships, and provisions for non-traditional students, as well. We talked about the format in which we will present the recommendations and the work that we have done in all of these areas so far---including faculty survey results from spring of 1999. We'll try to make these recommendations before the close of fall semester, so that they can be published by the appropriate standing committee.
3. Our next meeting takes place on Tuesday, November 16, 1999, at 11:30 AM in Dean's Conference Room, Ad Bldg.
