Minutes of the Meeting of
February 23, 2000

The committe revisited the curricular goals drafted at the previous meeting. The goals were revised to reflect the clause in the mission statement referring to a dialogue between faith and reason. Several other non-substantive changes were made as well. The revised curricular goals are attached.
The committee then turned to the institutional standing goals. It was agreed that these should be amended in two ways: (1) sections for staff should be added comparable to those already included for faculty; (2) the statement should reflect the college's relation to the ELCA and the commitment to the dialogue between faith and reason as stated in the mission statement. It was agreed that Hans Zorn would make these changes and circulate the document to the committee. This document is also attached.
If no substantive changes to either document are suggested by committee members, they will be forwarded to the Steering Committee. The committee stands adjourned indefinitely; if the documents are not returned to the committee, we are adjourned permanently.
