Minutes of the Meeting of
September 1, 1999

The meeting began at 8:00 a.m. The Committee discussed variousissues related to language and format for Draft #2 of the Purpose Statement.The Committee is in accord that Draft #1 contains the key elements withwhich we wish to move forward. Editing and deciding upon a final formatremain to be accomplished.
Prior to our next meeting, individual committee members will create theirown version of Draft #2 to share in two small groups. The next meeting willbe on Wednesday, September 8 from 2:40-3:40 p.m. in the Alumni House.
