Self-Study Steering Committee


Minutes of the Meeting of
December 14, 1999

Present: Bloss, Garren, Kalinoski, Lambert, Larsen, Weiss (chair), Whitson

The meeting began at 1:35 p.m.

Greg reported that the work of the Compliance Audit Committee is on track and that the Committee will meet on January 14th to do its thorough review of Section 1.

Greg reported that the work of the Strategic Study Committee is on track. Much of the work on the CCLS Assessment Plan has been completed, and work is now underway on the IL Assessment Plan. A subcommittee meets on December 15th.

Dan reported (for Communications Committee) that the hoped-for two fall newsletters had turned into one, and it was not out yet. Greg and Dan will discuss a schedule for the committee for spring and next fall.

Adrienne reported that the Calendar Task Force has largely completed its work, and she will now write the report. The report will contain some interesting information but not any surprises.

Leslie and Charlene provided an update on the status of the new Purpose Statement. An outside parliamentarian group has been consulted for advice on procedures at the last faculty meeting relevant to the amendment. Charlene will keep us informed.

Greg asked for anyone to share any suggestions for things he might do differently as self-study director and suggestions for the self-study process. Members will communicate directly to Greg.
