Pay Band 6: $53,510 - $109,818 max.
The Virginia Department of Education is seeking an experienced professional to provide leadership and technical assistance in the administration of Title I programs to improve the academic achievement of disadvantaged students in the Commonwealth.
SEEKING APPLICANTS WITH THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Virginia's educational reform efforts and of local, state and federal educational policies and precedures. Knowledge of instructional learning techniques.
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal program grant management.
- Demonstrated skills in effectively presenting complex and technical information to various audiences, both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated skills and abilities to set schedules and timelines for subordinate staff members.
- Demonstrated skills and abilities to use personal computer and productivity software applications.
- Experience at the administrative level.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. An advanced degree in education policy, administration, or a relevant discipline.
