Associate Director/Director of Development
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Development, the Associate Director/Director of Development will have primary responsibility for cultivating, securing, and stewarding major gifts for Roanoke College. A significant area of focus for this position will be collaboration with church related stakeholders to identify major gift prospects and to develop cultivation activities and strategies. The individual will also help to convey the College’s Lutheran heritage and foundation to individuals, congregations, lay people and the synods.
Additional responsibilities include meeting annual goals for major gift development and revenue generation as well as facilitating appropriate special events.
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree with preference given for master’s and 5+ years of major gift experience in higher education. Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.
