Head Men's Soccer Coach

Description

Roanoke College is seeking an experienced professional to serve as Head Men’s Soccer Coach.  Roanoke College is an NCAA Division III school and a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. This is a twelve-month position.

The Head Men’s Soccer Coach will report to the Athletic Director.  The successful candidate is responsible for planning and organizing all phases of the men’s soccer program; recruitment and evaluation of prospective student-athletes and related travel; supervision of budgets; assist in fundraising activities; foster a positive and competitive experience for the student-athlete; and overseeing academic progress. The successful candidate will have an understanding and working knowledge of NCAA and ODAC rules, experience with budgeting processes and have the ability to work nights and weekends with extensive travel. The Head Men’s Soccer Coach will serve as the Event Administrator for a selected spring or winter sport. 

Minimum qualifications include, yet are not limited to, coaching and playing expertise at the college level, a Bachelor’s Degree, plus one to three years of experience on the men’s soccer coaching staff of an NCAA sponsored institution. Preferred qualifications include, yet are not limited to, playing expertise at the college level, a Master’s Degree, plus three to five years’ experience as an NCAA Division I, II or III head men’s soccer coach, or an NCAA Division I assistant men’s soccer coach.  In addition to CPR, desired certifications include the following:  Member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America; Coaching Certification, either an NSCAA Advanced National or Premier Diploma, or USSF “B” or “A” License.
