Description

Roanoke College has immediate openings for the following 9-month (full-time from mid-August to May) fully benefited positions.  Great benefits and competitive starting wage.

Dishroom Attendant (9 month)

Position requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and is responsible for following proper dishwashing and sanitation techniques.  Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and must work every other weekend.

Evening Cavern Attendant (9 month) 

Position requires the ability to prepare short order foods and have a knowledge of sanitation requirements, the ability to lift up to 30 lbs and one year of food service experience.  Hours are 3:30 p.m. to midnight and every other Saturday.

Evening Cavern Manager (9 month)

The Evening Manager will supervise the evening and nighttime operation of the quick service dining facility.  Food service experience should include preparation, sanitation and knowledge of health codes and inventory control.  In addition, the successful candidate must be able to assume ABC responsibilities.  Applicants should possess 5 years food service experience with at least 2 of those years in a supervisory capacity. Must be flexible and willing to work rotating Saturdays.  Hours are 3:30 p.m. to midnight.

Evening Cook (9 month)

Position requires a professional cook skilled in a high-volume setting with knowledge of sanitation requirements.  Culinary degree preferred, but will consider extensive experience.  Hours are 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and every other weekend.

Salad Room Attendant (9 month)

This position must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. and assists with the preparation of salads and condiments needed for each meal and responsible for maintaining a high level of sanitation.  Must be able to work a flexible schedule with weekly hours of 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and alternating weekends.  Must have a minimum of two years food service experience.

Utility Worker (9 month)

Position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and is responsible for washing pots and pans, sweeping and mopping floors and helping with dishroom tasks when necessary.  Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and must work every other weekend.
