The Biology Department at Roanoke College seeks applicants for a part-time Lecturer to instruct a lab section associated with their introductory course for majors in the fall. Our expectation is that the successful candidate will also be able to teach two sections of the lab associated with our sophomore-level cell biology course in the spring.
Master’s degree or higher in a biological science required and previous experience as an instructor at the college level preferred. Successful applicants will work with faculty in the department to offer a challenging and stimulating experience for prospective majors using materials already developed by the department.
Complete applications will include a cover letter, a current CV, a brief statement of teaching philosophy and experience, and the names and contact information for three references capable of commenting on the applicant’s ability to teach. These materials can be sent to Marilee Ramesh, Chair, Dept. of Biology, 221 College Lane, Salem, VA, 24153 or emailed to email@example.com. Priority will be given to applications received by July 22, 2013, but applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.
