Athletic Field

The new field will enable Roanoke to remain competitive among Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) colleges and universities and give the College an advantage both in recruitment and in athletic competition.

The project provides stadium seating built into the hillside and attractively transforms the current unusable slope. Plans include fencing, a ticket booth and a “Circle of Champions” recognizing leadership donors - all designed to enhance the field and complement existing campus architecture. Unique non-glare lighting will allow for evening sporting events and intramural play to return to campus while reducing the intrusion on campus neighbors.
