The U13/14 Roanoke Stars Classic team was coached by Keith Scarlett and Donn Samsa. Captains were Grant Hall and Greg Minton. In their first season, the Fall 2000 Stars went 5-2-3 in league play and 2-3-1 in tournament play. All five losses were to established "Premier" level teams. The Stars played their best soccer at the end of the year. The Spring season closed with a second place finish at the Berglund Festival.

The Stars include several players from the old Salem Sabres team plus numerous players from around the Roanoke Valley.
