Student Web & Social Media Assistant
For: Immediate Hire
Gain valuable experience in web marketing & social media.
Preference may be given to freshmen and sophomores.
Work could include general updates to college website using our content management system, working with faculty and staff to update their pages, assisting with social media content creation and monitoring. You will be taught how to update the college website with our software.
This position provides excellent experiences for students interested in careers in web design, internet marketing, advertising, public relations or communications.
Skills needed: dependability, strong communication skills, strong computer skills with ability to learn new software, an interest in web marketing and strong attention to detail.
Skills Preferred: social media content creation experience, experience with web/graphic design, Photoshop experience, HTML experience, video experience
Student Photographer / Videographer
For: Immediate Hire
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Taking photos around campus
- Shooting videos around campus
- Identify events and activities to photograph each week (some evening and weekend work may be required)
- Schedule and shoot student/faculty portraits as needed for marketing or news releases
- Keyword photos and videos
- Assist staff with photo and video shoots Respond to campus requests for copies of photos
- Record short videos, editing as necessary, for social media posting
Qualifications Required:
- Strong computer skills with ability to learn new software
- Comfortable using DSLR cameras and shooting in non-automatic modes
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and/or Lightroom and Adobe Premiere Strong attention to detail
- Friendly personality with the ability to engage people
Desired Skills:
- Experience with lighting and equipment
- Experience with shooting and editing video
