Marketing Manager
Overview
The Marketing Manager is an important member of the Campus Recreation leadership team who must show a high level of commitment for its success. The manager is responsible for implementing the marketing efforts of the department and its programs, providing leadership and guidance for the marketing assistants, and working collaboratively with the program supervisors to ensure the needs of their respectives programs are met.
Hours
- Approximately 10-12 hours per week
- Typically during the day but may work evenings and/or weekends
Responsibilities
- Be on time and ready to work when scheduled as a responsible key holder
- Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate marketing assistants
- Be on site for various Campus Recreation programs to photograph and document events
- Prioritize marketing requests based on timeliness and importance
- Create attractive and accurate publications while completing projects on time
- Coordinate distribution of marketing materials including digital signage, printed posters, table tents, and the Brackety-Ack
- Manage the Campus Recreation website and social media accounts
- Attend regular Campus Recreation leadership staff meetings
- Conduct regular Marketing and Office staff meetings
- Keep an accurate record of hours worked on TimeTrax and submit time card on Self-Service when due
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be a currently enrolled student in good standing
- Experience using Apple computers and software including Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop
- Proficient knowledge and expertise in graphic design and/or photography
- Exceptional communication skills and proven leadership ability
- Prior experience as a marketing assistant preferred
