Office Manager

Overview

The Office Manager, reporting to the Director of Campus Recreation, is a leader within the office staff who must show a high level of commitment to its success.  The manager will be responsible for coordinating facility reservations for the Bast Center, compiling deposits, assisting with credit card reconciliation, and providing leadership for the office assistants.

Hours

  • 8-10 hours per week
  • Typically during the day but may work evenings and/or weekends

Responsibilities

  • Be on time and ready to work when scheduled and responsible as a key holder
  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate office assistants
  • Manage office staff scheduling and shift changes on TimeTrax
  • Actively encourage positive job output from office staff in the fulfillment of their duties such as reception, sales, data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks
  • Inspire professional demeanor from the staff when interacting with the public
  • Facilitate effective communication within the office
  • Provide for a functional and orderly office workspace
  • Review facility requests and add to EMS if approved
  • Collect and upload credit card receipts to the Wells Fargo site
  • Prepare weekly deposit of revenues collected at the register
  • Attend regular Campus Recreation leadership staff meetings
  • Conduct regular Office staff meetings
  • Keep an accurate record of hours worked  on TimeTrax and submit time card on Self-Service when due
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be a currently enrolled student in good standing
  • Exceptional communication skills and proven leadership ability
  • Prior experience as an office assistant preferred
