SOLO Wilderness First Aid:

Accidents happen. People get hurt, sick, or lost. The temperature drops, the wind picks up, and it starts to rain. Would you know what to do? Many backcountry emergencies are preventable, and even when bad things happen, sometimes the wrong care can make things worse. By learning a few basic skills, you can make the difference between a good outcome and a bad one - and maybe even save a life.

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a two-year certification through SOLO, a nationally recognized leader in Wilderness Medicine Education. The course will run from 8:00am-5:00pm each day. For more information, please email Patricia Lynn. To register, please call the Campus Recreation Office at 540-375-5219.

Roanoke College Students: $145
Roanoke College Faculty and Staff: $170
Community Members: $195
