HOW TO POST STUDENT CAMPUS JOBS FOR CAMPUS EMPLOYERS

STUDENT CAMPUS JOBS are posted on our online secure job/internship posting site, MaroonNet, so that students need to look in only one place for all job opportunities, both on- and off-campus.   This also keeps the general public from accessing this information, as we get calls from people off-campus about posted student jobs from the old site. The following instructions will help you register as an Employer on MaroonNet and proceed to post or update your jobs for students.

POSTING JOBS:

•1. Go to https://employer.gradleaders.com/Roanoke/Employers/Login.aspx?jprid=4504 .  THIS IS YOUR LOG-IN PAGE FOR STUDENT JOB POSTINGS, SO YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO BOOKMARK THIS PAGE BEFORE GOING FURTHER, AND NAME IT SOMETHING LIKE "CAMPUS STUDENT JOB POSTING SITE"

•2. For first-time users of MaroonNet, at the page above, follow the link to register and set up a new profile, including your contact information, employer information (which will identify your department and so on), and then the actual job information.  All of the items marked with an asterisk (*) are REQUIRED, though you are encouraged to fill in as many of the fields as related to your job(s).  NOTE THAT FOR ALL STUDENT JOBS, THE EMPLOYER NAME SHOULD BE "RC (and you department name)."  As an example, "RC Library Reference Desk."  

•3. If you have previously registered on MaroonNet and need to reactivate a Inactive or Closed job(s) in your job list, log in as indicated above.  

  • To edit a CURRENTLY POSTED job, click on the job title, which will take you to a Job Postings Details page.  Across from "View Job Detail" header, you will see "edit job information" and a pencil icon.  Click on either the words or icon.  Edit screen will appear.  Make/save your changes.  
  • To REPOST a job that you had previously posted, but has an Inactive/Closed status, click on the icon under "Copy to New Posting" for that job.  Make any required edits (especially the application date deadline), and save your changes.

WHERE DO STUDENTS LOOK FOR CAMPUS JOB POSTINGS?

If you receive questions from students about where to access student campus jobs, their link to MaroonNet is posted on the website (under Career Services>Students>MaroonNet): https://webapps.roanoke.edu/MaroonNetLogin/   ONLY CURRENT STUDENTS CAN ACCESS STUDENT CAMPUS JOBS, SINCE THEY ARE NOT OPEN TO ALUMNI.  They also simply use their RC user name and password, and all students have a profile automatically.
