Subject Tutoring
Subject Tutoring at Roanoke College provides free peer tutoring for current students in over 100 courses! Students can schedule tutoring appointments through Navigate (login with your RC username & password).
Access Navigate through the link below; select Schedule an Appointment and choose Subject Tutoring.
Walk-ins are also welcome! We are located on the ground floor of Fintel Library (Room 05).
Subject Tutoring is open 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday each Fall & Spring semester.
Subject Tutoring is a Level II Internationally Certified Tutor Training Center through the College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA). All tutors have:
- Earned As or Bs in the courses they tutor;
- Received 2 faculty recommendations;
- Completed a minimum of 10 hours of CRLA-endorsed training.
After accruing 25 hours of tutoring experience, tutors are Level I: Certified and are eligible to pursue Level II: Advanced certification, which includes an additional 10 hours of training and 25 more hours of tutoring experience.
