Freedom Debate

Dr. Adkins’ class will engage in a spirited debate on freedom and what it means to be “truly free.” One side will argue that philosopher Spinoza correctly theorized humanity’s role in the universe and their freedom in relation to it. The opposition will present reasoning on why Spinoza’s claims were misguided and why the philosopher’s theories don’t accurately reflect the reality of human freedom.
