To enroll in Summer Session courses, you may apply online or contact the Admissions Office for a paper application. Roanoke College does not discriminate against employees, students or applicants on the basis of race, sex, disability, age, veteran status, national origin, religion or political affiliation.
If you are a student in good standing, have requisite background for college-level coursework and are eligible to return to all previously attended colleges or universities, you are invited to attend the Summer Session as a special, non-degree-seeking student. An official college transcript is required in order to attend. Proof of any prerequisites for a course must be verified. An acceptance to the College as a non-degree student is required before registering for classes and does not warrant admission to seek a degree through Roanoke. To apply as a degree seeking student starting with the summer session, please contact the Admissions Office.
There are a variety of courses offered in a traditional classroom setting during the three summer sessions. Courses offered in an on line format are not open to special, non-degree-seeking students.

How to Register
Registration for the 2019 Summer Session is now open. New and former students may register until May 13, 2019 for the early Session I, June 3, 2019 for the regular Session I and for Session III and until July 1, 2019 for Session II.
Check-in for the Summer Session (both first and second four-week terms) is not required. However, all financial arrangements must be completed by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2019. Failure to do so may result in your being dropped from class(es). Students who have not pre-registered must present a signed change to course schedule form to the Registrar's Office by the deadline noted on the Summer Academic Calendar. Academic advisors are available in the Center for Learning and Teaching in Fintel Library to assist with course selection.
