International Students

Roanoke College has been welcoming students from countries around the world for over a hundred years. In recent years, our students have come from over 30 countries, including Afghanistan, Bahamas, Belarus, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Finland, France, Germany, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Jamaica, Japan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Mexico, Mongolia, Montenegro, Myanmar, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, Palestinian Territories, Peru, Romania, Russia, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, Venezuela, and Zimbabwe.  

We have students that come as degree-seeking students for 4 years and those who attend as exchange students for one semester or one year from one of our partner institutions.  All international students receive support from the International Education Office, including visa advising, social and cultural programming, and assistance with academic success. The Roanoke International Office also runs a special pre-orientation program for international students at the beginning of each academic year.
