Winter storm hits campus - Changes and Updates

Jan. 17 update re: College Operations on Tuesday, Jan. 18

Classes will begin on Tuesday as scheduled at the regular times.

  • Most classes for the first two weeks are online, synchronous so classes begin online at the date and time you would normally be in the classroom.
  • For in-person classes, they will begin on time as well. Individual instructors have the choice of their mode of instruction so you may receive updates from your professor.

Staff will work with their supervisors to assess whether or not they need to come in tomorrow.

The winter storm has mostly passed through our area and conditions are expected to improve through the day on Tuesday, providing our grounds crew with another day to clear parking lots and walkways to make for a safer opening on Wednesday.

The Commons will have regular hours on Tuesday for the first day of class, opening at 7:00 a.m., with a full breakfast being served starting at 7:30 a.m. Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., light lunch from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Dinner is served from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
