Teresa Gereaux, gereaux@roanoke.edu false MM/DD/YYYYRobert Hoban will speak about the far-reaching practical and political implications of the Chevron Ruling.
The U.S. Supreme Court has swept aside long-standing legal precedent in its ruling overturning the Chevron doctrine, majorly curtailing the power of federal agencies to interpret the laws they regulate. The decision is expected to have far-reaching impacts on everything from the environment to energy to natural resources, and healthcare—even cannabis!
Robert Hoban is a pioneering award-winning attorney, professor, strategist, author, executive, and columnist, who began his career over 25 years ago in Colorado and who has since practiced across the United States and around the world by leading law firms (and subdivisions within), structuring complex deals, and drafting public policy for numerous governments in developing market industries across the globe. He is an authoritative figure on emerging legal concepts and related jurisprudence.
