The Pride of Roanoke Marching & Spirit Bands: Color Guard and Drumline Auditions

The Roanoke College Marching and Spirit Bands are open to all enrolled students!
We are already 50 members strong and looking forward to seeing you!  

Requirements 

We love students with prior performance experience. If you've always wanted to be in a marching band
and have the desire to learn new things, you are welcome and encouraged to try out. 

Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 1 pm to 5 pm, the marching band will be hosting drumline and color guard auditions at The Cregger Center Field House. If there are exam conflicts, no problem. Contact Mr. Terrell Smith - Director of Marching & Spirit Bands at tersmith@roanoke.edu or (540) 986-8095 for alternate audition times. 

For the RC Drumline, we have open positions for:
2 snares 
2 tenor drum (quints)
3 bass drums 

For the RC Rhythm Section, we have open positions for:
3 electronic percussionists 
1 piano/synth
1 bass guitar

For RC Color Guard, we have open positions for:
6 color guard performers

For the RC Hornline, we have open positions for:
2 Flutes
8 Clarinets
4 Alto Saxes
2 Tenor Saxes
3 Trumpets
6 Mellophones
4 Baritones
6 Sousaphones 

For the RC Dance Team, we have open positions for:
3 dance performers  

If you are planning to audition on Saturday, dance, or play in the RC Hornline, contact Mr. Smith immediately.
