Community Day: Maroons on a Mission!

Your mission should you choose to accept it, is to work as a Roanoke College community to uncover the "character" of our institution! As a part of our year-long exploration of character education through a special grant, please join us on our 11/20 Community Day for the following events:

STUDENTS: 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The Rock: Participate in "Goosechase," a campus-wide scavenger hunt in teams of 4-5 for a chance to complete special missions and win awesome prizes! The scavenger hunt begins at 11 at The Rock, and scan-in will be available. Come ready with your team, or serve as a "free agent" if you want to make new friends.

FACULTY/STAFF: 11:00 am - 2:00 pm Wortmann Ballroom or Olin Hall: Two sessions, a delicious free lunch, and lots of opportunities to dig into our character mission together! Please RSVP if you want to be included in lunch AND so we can let you know whether to start your day in the Ballroom for a robust character discussion or in Olin for the start of our campus-wide scavenger hunt challenge.

ALL CAMPUS CELEBRATION: 4:30 p.m. Sutton Terrace/MAQ: Hot cocoa, hot cider, s'mores, and a community celebration of our mission accomplished! The top winning teams will be announced with special prizes, t-shirt giveaways, and a big thank you from the Educating Character Initiative team.
