Hear from eminent Roanoke College International Relations alumni who will share their career path experiences with the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and Development Agency, Corporate Law,  Contractor with the Federal Government, and National Aeronautics and Space Agency(NASA).  There will be time allotted for an audience's questions and answer session.  This Zoom webinar requires registration.

Allison Barlow ’04

Allison Barlow graduated from Roanoke College with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with a concentration in Global Business in 2004.  She earned a Master of Arts in Public and International Affairs with a concentration in governance and global security from Virginia Tech in 2010.  She currently works for Booz Allen Hamilton as a management consultant supporting the U.S. Air Force.

Joseph Carpenter, IV '99

Joseph Carpenter, an economics and political science major at Roanoke received his law degree from Washington & Lee University in 2002. He is Senior General Counsel in what is now the Complex Litigation and Information Governance Section for Norfolk Southern Corporation. He is active in the Virginia Bar Association and served on its Board of Governors. Joe continues his service to the College by serving on the College's Board of Trustees and as President of the Alumni Association. 

Diana (Rossiter) Harbison ’02

Diana graduated from RC in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice.  She listened to Dr. Rubongoya and promptly went to graduate school at his alma mater, the University of Denver where she earned a Master of Arts degree in International Economics.  Upon graduating in 2004 she started a 15 year-long career in the federal government working for the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA).  She held a variety of positions at USTDA starting at entry-level and culminating in executive management.  Now a traveling spouse, Diana helps faculty/students at Purdue University in their pursuit of international development-focused research.   

Anne Roemer ’97

Anne Roemer graduated from Roanoke College in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and a minor in Spanish, in addition to participating in the Honors Program.  She completed her Master of Arts at the Josef Korbel  School of International Studies, University of Denver.  She is currently the Director of Human Resources and Manager of Astronaut Selection at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX.
