Jon Murrill '09, a professional muralist whose work has transformed the Roanoke Valley, will join us for lecture about for the role of public art and his experiences as an artist.

This event, which is free and open to the public, comes amid the launch of his latest project — painting a mural on all four sides of the community space at Roanoke College's Maroon Village.

Murrill, who holds a degree in studio art from Roanoke College, designed the project to include student participation (student sign up here) and agreed to give a talk for the college community.
