Join Jon Murrill '09, a professional muralist, as he paints a mural on all four sides of the community center at Maroon Village, and his lecture about the role of public art and his experiences as a muralist.

false MM/DD/YYYYJon Murrill '09 is a professional muralist whose work has transformed the Roanoke Valley. His large-scale murals can be found inside businesses and on exterior walls across the region, including in Roanoke and Salem. This fall, Murrill, who holds a degree in studio art from Roanoke College and an MFA from Radford University, is bringing his talents back to his alma mater, where he will paint a mural on all four sides of the community center at Maroon Village. After the mural is finished, please join us on Oct. 24 at 5 p.m. in Olin Recital Hall for Murrill's fascinating lecture about the role of public art and his experiences as a muralist.
