MAPLE'S Kids (Multiple Adaptive Play Experiences in Sport) by Toy Like Me at Roanoke College

MAPLE'S Kids (Multiple Adaptive Play Experiences in Sports) is an extension of Toy Like Me at Roanoke College) and is part of Roanoke College's new Disability Studies Program.  We have partnered with WheelLove, a local not-for-profit that creates activity opportunities for local adults with physical disabilities to promote Adaptive Sports and provide a place to play and learn sport for those who cannot access outdoor playgrounds, sports fields or teams in the Roanoke Valley.  Staffed by Roanoke College Student Volunteers, MAPLE'S Kids has become a  COMMUNITY for local families with children with disabilities. MAPLE'S Kids join us from many local counties, including Franklin, Floyd, Craig, Botetourt, Bedford, Roanoke County, as well as Roanoke and Salem Cities.   We were just recognized by the Virginia Commonwealth Games organization.
