Join Dr. Brenda Poggendorf '81, Vice President for Enrollment and Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid at Roanoke College, for a conversation as she discusses key things that parents and caregivers should consider in supporting their student in the college enrollment process.

Brenda Porter Poggendorf '81 has served in undergraduate enrollment management for nearly four decades, first at Roanoke College in admissions and at Carthage College as executive assistant to the president and vice president for enrollment.   In fall 2007, she returned to Roanoke College as vice president for enrollment/dean of admissions and financial aid.  Additionally, she has served as consultant to several small private colleges.  Dr. Poggendorf earned her B.A. from Roanoke College, an M.A.L.S. from Hollins University, and M.B.A. and Ph.D. in education, leadership and policy studies from Loyola University-Chicago.  Her dissertation was on student persistence in college.  She enjoys both the art and science of recruiting and retaining students. She and her husband have two daughters, one who is recent Roanoke College graduate and one who is a senior at Furman University.
