The Department of Modern Languages is pleased to present the third Roanoke College International Film Festival. This year’s theme is Social Justice and the Oscars. Each film will be followed by a post-screening, panel-led discussion.

Dr. Zachary Ingle is the Visiting Professor of Film at Hollins University, where he teaches courses in World Cinema and Japanese Cinema, among many others. He received his Ph.D. in Film and Media Studies from the University of Kansas. Ingle has published on numerous national cinemas, including writing several articles for The Encyclopedia of Contemporary Spanish Films.
Dr. Marwood Larson-Harris teaches Asian Religions at Roanoke College. He received his BA from Reed College, and MA and Ph.D. from Boston U. He lived in Japan for 2 years and is currently working on animal movies.
