On-Campus Visit Requests
Employers are welcomed and highly encouraged to visit Roanoke College either in-person or in a virtual format, or include us in your remote recruiting activities, when your schedules will permit. A number of different activities may be arranged for employer participation on campus, depending on the interests and needs of the company/organization. Our scheduling is flexible to the employer needs, and even with only a couple of week's notice, we can make visits happen!
On-Campus Information Table - set up a table in the main atrium of our campus center during lunch and/or dinner hours. You'll be placed right at the entrance to our cafeteria, which is a high-traffic location during meal hours. This exposure will help you build name recognition on campus and help you market your needs and opportunities.
On-Campus Information Session - let us arrange a session just for you to meet with students, so they can learn more about your organization, and the opportunities you have available for current students and graduates. In some cases, students from other local colleges and universities will be invited to attend.
Classroom Presentations - if your interest is in sharing information about your organization and its opportunities to a more targeted group of students, we can explore classroom visits with faculty in applicable academic departments. You may also have expertise in a subject being covered by a professor and wish to share this with students.
Workshop Presentations and Assistance - schedule to present a topic for Career Services; help with resume reviews, mock job interviews, and other job search preparation steps are just some examples.
Participation in Large On-Campus Career Events - each semester, we host an Internship Fair, which in the spring includes a Summer Camps Jobs Fair. We also host an annual Education Job Fair. We'd love to have you send a recruiter!
Participation in our annual consortium job and internship fair, Career Premiere. For details, visit www.careerpremierefair.com under the Employers tab.
On-Campus Recruiting - set up a schedule to meet with students individually to discuss opportunities you have for internships and/or jobs.
